Workshop: Collaborative Development of Free Software
Objective: One day workshop to experience the open source development model first hand. The speaker will present an overview of how to set up and manage an open source project, how to contribute to an existing project, and will support a hands on session where students will collaboratively build a simple application.

Speaker: Tim Sutton (Researcher of the OpenModeller Project - FAPESP).
Speaker background: Tim Sutton is a Project Steering Committee member of the Quantum GIS project, a developer on the OpenModeller project and a contributor to the Marble project. He has large experience programing Qt4 and C++, and writing applications targeting all major desktop operating systems.
